Tour Itinerary
Departure (the time of leaving Sofia is confirmed once the flights are booked). An early transfer Sofia - Plovdiv - Istanbul. Flight Istanbul - Dalaman. Transfer Dalaman - Fethiye. A walk around Fethiye.

Kayaking along the shores of Fethiye. Anyone with experience can paddle a single kayak; those without go in a double. We take the kayaks round the finest paddling spots in the area. Afterwards we walk through the village and pick out a local restaurant for dinner.
We load the boats with provisions and set off for Butterfly Valley, a place that proves paradise is on earth. Eighty species of butterfly are found here. The valley is ringed by steep shores and cliffs, and the only safe way in is by water — which, happily, is what we have kayaks for. The valley is a protected area with strict rules for visitors. Once we land on its extraordinary beach we settle into the only campsite in the area. We will take you to the hidden waterfalls, another draw for visitors. The campsite serves traditional Turkish food, so after a day full of impressions we can eat well and see the sun down on one of the most singular beaches in Turkey.
We have breakfast and get into the kayaks. Ahead of us is a 10 km paddle along the coast with stops at beaches. There is no question of missing a landing at the famous Blue Lagoon on a day like this. We return to our original starting point.
Breakfast, Turkish coffee and pomegranate juice to get us going, and the fun continues. We dress for the mountains, because today brings a walk on the Lycian Way. The Lycian Way is the most popular walking route in Turkey. It begins at Fethiye and ends in Antalya, and draws great numbers of walkers ready to test themselves over 540 km taking in more than 25 historical sites.
On this trip we take just one segment of it, with beautiful sea views. The walk is easy and undemanding - you will manage it even if you are not a hiker.
The settlement of Patara was founded thousands of years ago and was once the principal harbour of ancient Lycia. The ancient theatre and the main street down to the port survive today. After a short immersion in history it is time to immerse ourselves in the sea. Patara beach is one of a kind: a full 18 km of untouched fine sand. It impresses not only by its scale but by its natural beauty. Loggerhead turtles lay their eggs here, which is why the beach is a protected area.
We expect to be back in Sofia around 22:00.
